World of Warcraft Cataclysm Leveling

Following the last expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, the third expansion of World of Warcraft, is considered as the most successful expansion since the emergence of World of Warcraft in the world of online gaming. Officially, Cataclysm was anounced at Blizzcon 2009 on August 21, 2009 then the collector’s edition content was also announced on August 17, 2010. On December 07, 2010 was the release of the digital download station of Cataclysm for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft. Since the release of Cataclysm, over millions of copies were sold including digital presales. In fact it had overtaken the former record holder of World of Warcraft, “Wrath of the Lich King” that surpassed the most number of copies sold in the first 24 hours since the release. Wrath of the Lich King sold 2.8 million copies whereas Cataclysm sold 3.3 million copies in the first 24 hours since the release. Also Cataclysm holds the record with the most sold copies in its first month, with about 4.7 million copies after the release.

New expansion features state of the art graphics, increased in professional skills and increased in level cap to 85, introduces new classes; Worgen, from kingdom of Gilneas for the Alliance and Goblins from the isle of Kezan for the Horde. Also one of the significant features is redesigning the Kalimdor and Eatern Kingdoms. It has been redesigned with some new towns and a changed of appearance. It features new battlegrounds and towns, dungeons, zones, raids and quest. It has been refreshed with about 3500 new quests and mid-level quest to describe the redesigned areas of Azeroth. Also five new World of Warcraft cataclysm leveling zoneswere added, which will be found above level 80; Mount Hyjal, Vashj’ir, Uldum, Deepholm and Twilight Highlands. Moreover, seven new dungeons are included; Blackrock Caverns, Halls of Origination, Grim Batol, Stonecore, Throne of the Tides, and The Vortex Pinnacle.

Archaeology, a new secondary profession is also been introduced to this expansion. This allows the players to dig up artifacts in a form of fragment that they need to gather and piece together. Through following this profession, the players could attain mounts and fun pets.

There are also changes on the currency. Conquest points replaced the Arena Points. And in this expansion, you’ve no longer need to visit the Arena to enhance your Personal Rating. And you could earn Valor points when you defeated raid bosses and dungeon.

The main plot of Cataclysm is the return of Deathwing the Destroyer, last seen in Warcraft II, an evil dragon originally Neltharion the Earth Warder to Azeroth. Deathwing spent almost a decade healing himself, and planning his scorching return from the Deepholm, an elemental plane. His return causes massive worldwide catastrophe called The Shattering, which will renewed conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde, which will cause to fall under the rule of Garrosh Hellscream.

Azeroth has major changes in the geographical lay-out. Players can fly anywhere on mounts of Azeroth. The choice of mount depends to which faction you belong to: Alliance or Horde. It is the player’s choice either to take the zones on World of Warcraft leveling guide hordeor take the saga as the Alliance

The “WoW” Away From WoW?

Are you about reaching the point of boredom? For many WoW players, there’s always a point in time when they just burn out of the game and the game that was so addicting and time consuming just a couple months ago is now a chore to even log onto. It happens to everyone, your WoW fever just comes and goes depending on maybe the content that’s out or maybe it just happens. But that’s besides the point, whether your bored of the grind, raiding, pvp, or think the game is just plain and not innovative, your still bored of the game! So what’s the remedy to this? Well the simple answer is this. Stop playing! Take a break from it, if your not enjoying the game, playing the game more is not going to change anything! You’ll just feel terrible and just be looking for a way to get back into the game!

So now that you’ve quit, now what? There’s a huge hole of your “game time” and there’s nothing for you to play! Well let’s sit down and just discuss some of the available options. There’s plenty of games out there, if your the MMO kind of guy, why not check out DC Universe Online? It’s a brand new MMORPG developed by Sony Entertainment Online that boasts an “action” based MMO combat that takes you away from the classic and overused MMO hit button and wait for spell. There’s plenty to do in a new MMO and while it might not be the next “WoW” it certainly allows you to spend some time on.

If you don’t want to commit and subscribe to another MMO, why not take a look at some other options. To start there’s a lot of free games out there that millions of people enjoy such as League of Legends. The game is similar to the popular Warcraft III mod “DotA” and features competitive player vs player game play. Pick from a large selection of different champions and battle it out in 5v5 or 3v3 game modes. Not for you? Then how about some console gaming? Hit up the Xbox and try out a new sports game such as FIFA 11 or maybe even Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Raegywn Solos Lord Marrowgar

Raegywn has been around a while and soloing bosses, most well known for soloing Sartharion. He plays as a Worgen Death Knight on Netherstorm (EU) and I guess he just has a interest in soloing bosses? This time he solo’s Lord Marrowgar (10) and well he’s level 85 now. Anyways it’s a pretty impressive feat though sadly there’s no achievement for it! The toughest part of this fight is not actually surviving it but beating the enrage timer. He had to find the right mix of tank and dps gear to get through the fight without taking too much damage while dishing out enough damage to down the boss. Anyways, here’s the video below for anyone who want’s to see how it’s done!

Heroic Cho’Gall World First!

For The Horde has successfully killed Cho’Gall today on Heroic difficulty making them the first guild in the world to do so! This also makes them the first to unlock the next boss, Lady Sinestra. Congrats to them and here’s a picture of their completion of the Cho’Gall encounter on Heroic mode.

Cho’Gall is the last encounter in the raid instance Bastion of Twilight. His two heads grant him a multitude of abilities that increase the difficulty of this encounter. Good look with your own attempts on Cho’Gall!

Cataclysm Hotfixes – December 14th

Here’s a list of small hotfixes for today the 14th. Most interesting change is a nerf to paladins. Other than that, nothing really too big.
General
  • Master Riding now properly grant players 310% flight speed in Eastern Kingdoms with X-53 Touring Rocket, Celestial Steed, Headless Horseman’s Mount, X-51 Nether-Rocket, X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME, and Invincible.

Battlegrounds

  • Battleground Demolishers in Strand of the Ancients have had their health lowered in all Battleground brackets except for the level 80-84 range, where their health has been increased.
  • Lifegiving Seeds can no longer be used in Battlegrounds.

Hunter

  • Players who have the Insanity debuff can’t benefit from Time Warp until the debuff has expired. Players can no longer benefit from both Ancient Hysteria and Time Warp prior to the Insanity Debuff fading.

Mage

  • Frostfire Orb cannot trigger Fingers of Frost if Rank 2 of Frostfire Orb is not learned. Fingers of Frost functions normally otherwise. Note that the debuff will still appear on the target until a client-side patch is applied to correct this display issue.

Paladin

  • Zealotry no longer consumes the Hand of Light proc effect.
  • Tower of Radiance no longer grants Holy Power from Holy Lights cast on a target buffed with Beacon of Light. It continues to work as the tooltip describes for Flash of Light and Divine Light. Please note the tooltip may not be updated to reflect this change until a client-side patch is applied.
  • Healing done by Beacon of Light is now properly affected by healing modifiers on targets which reduce healing done (i.e. Mortal Strike).
  • The healing done by Light of Dawn has been reduced by approximately 40%. Please note the tooltip may not be updated to reflect this change until a client-side patch is applied.

Dungeons & Raids

  • The Looking For Dungeon random bracket for Throne of the Tides and Blackrock Caverns has been changed from level 80-81 to 80-82, and the specific bracket has been changed from level 80-83 to 80-85.

Blackrock Caverns

  • Twilight Dragonkin Armorers in Throne of the Tides and Blackrock Caverns now always drop some sort of loot. Get your Shimmering Claws while they’re fresh!

Blackwing Descent

  • All four golems are now immune to Distract in the Omnotron Defense Council encounter.
  • Poison Bombs in the Golem Council encounter will now only attack and explode on targets they’re fixated on.
  • The gate beyond Magmaw and Omnotron should not close after the bosses are killed if a soft reset takes place.
  • The Orb of Culmination will now properly respawn after a soft reset takes place.

Deadmines

  • Ripsnarl’s Summon Vapor mechanic now ignores line of sight and correctly spawns a Vapor in regardless of where players are standing.
  • Glubtok can now be looted even if the party dies before he finishes his dramatic death sequence.

Grim Batol

  • Impaling Slam by Forgemaster Throngus now does much less damage, but is no longer mitigated by fire resistance.

  • There is now a teleportation device present at the front of the dungeon once Temple Guardian Anhuur has been defeated.

  • The Ravenous Creepers in the Conclave of Wind encounter now properly retarget players on the western platform when their aggro target moves to another platform. Even when no players are available to target on the platform the Creepers will retarget any new player who arrives on the platform.

The Vortex Pinnacle

  • Characters who become stuck in a Slipstream are now properly dropped after a period of time and brought back to the platform via the Fall Catcher.

Items

  • Amulet of Dull Dreaming and Acorn of the Daughter Tree had duplicate stats. That’s no fun for anyone! Amulet of Dull Dreaming has a critical strike rating of 112 and a haste rating of 112. Acorn of the Daughter Tree has a mastery rating of 116 and a haste rating of 107.
  • Captured Lightning from The Vortex Pinnacle now correctly has Spirit instead of hit rating. The item tooltip may not properly update to reflect this change, but the appropriate stats should be applied to a character when the item is equipped.
  • Lifegiving Seeds can no longer be used in Battlegrounds.

A couple of changes has hit the game since the release of Cataclysm, a couple bugs here and there but overall reception of Cataclysm has been very positive. We saw the world’s first 85 just 5 hours after release and to be honest, the release of Cataclysm was a lot better than Wrath and Burning Crusade.
